BANDS.

WHO? WHAT?

WHEN?

In 2017, the Bourbon Theater jumped into the pool of punk music by bringing in the Desendents, a pioneer of Lincoln punk music back in the 80s.

The band from California returned two years later in Lincoln, bringing their musical blend of heavy guitars and lyrics. This has been a milestone in the Lincoln punk scene bringing fans from all over to the heart of O-Steet.

When asking the the Venue Administrator at the Bourbon Theatre what she feels is the personality or feel of the Bourbon, she described it as a "tapestry".

"My favorite word to use is tapestry. We just kind of pull in things from all different laces and make a space that's accessible and approachable to everybody"

PUNK SCENE.

FROM BOURBON'S PERSPECTIVE.

Andrea Fabiano has been working at the Bourbon Theatre for seven years, and throughout that time she has seen the Lincoln punk scene thrive.

She describes the local scene as strong with lots of support for local rock and punk bands. But on a national level, the scene is much smaller.
